I am so excited to be able to share with you a brand new YA subscription box! Booked for the Weekend is a monthly subscription box catered toward Young Adult fans. Each month’s box will have a new theme, and it will include a book along with 3 or more high quality bookish items. I’m going to review the contents of the box and then tell you my final thoughts at the end!

What You Get:

Booked for the Weekend‘s March theme is Sea of Clones. This box featured the book Your One & Only by Adrianne Finlay / Bookmark by Kate  / Art print by Alanna / Book sleeve by Readinglifeandco / Hair bands by SheWhoDaresDesign / Star Wars mirror by FoxandDollbaby

I love these two Star Wars items! The Storm Trooper mirror is awesome quality and the design is beautiful. The hair ties are so cute, too! I love the light sabers.

This is my favorite item! I’m a huge Sarah J. Maas fan, so it’s no surprise I love this exclusive design bookmark of Feyre from A Court of Thorns and Roses. The quality of this bookmark is sturdy and durable. It also feels like double-matte material, which is my favorite. Bonus points for having double-sided designs!

I always appreciate exclusive art prints that feature the themes/characters from the book. This lovely print is inspired by this month’s book, Your One & Only.

Here are the two “big ticket” items: the book and a book sleeve! I will forever and always appreciate book boxes that include a big item like a sleeve. It adds so much value and “bang for your buck”. Book sleeves are so useful so I hope to see more included in future boxes!

Now for the book: A lot of new releases in Australia happen to come in paperback. Since Booked for the Weekend is based in Australia, they specially ordered hardbacks from the US so they could include them in this month’s box. Seriously, how thoughtful and amazing is that? A letter from the author is also included. Again, what an awesome value this box is!

And in case you are curious what this book is about, here is the Goodreads synopsis:

Jack is a walking fossil. The only human among a sea of clones. It’s been hundreds of years since humanity died off in the slow plague, leaving the clones behind to carry on human existence. Over time they’ve perfected their genes, moving further away from the imperfections of humanity. But if they really are perfect, why did they create Jack?

While Jack longs for acceptance, Althea-310 struggles with the feeling that she’s different from her sisters. Her fascination with Jack doesn’t help. As Althea and Jack’s connection grows stronger, so does the threat to their lives. What will happen if they do the unthinkable and fall in love?

My Thoughts:

Guys, overall this is such a great first box from Booked for the Weekend. Having spoken to the owner, I know she has poured her heart and soul into these boxes. The quality of the items are wonderful, and I love that the books chosen aren’t over-hyped, mainstream releases. I think you’re getting great value for your money. If you’re based in the US, the box ends up being cheap after the conversion rate. My rep code – AMY10 – will get you 10% off your order!

Some Background:

Back in December 2017, I was still new to the Bookstagram world. At that time, Tamara, the lovely creator and owner of Booked for the Weekend, was looking for a rep to help take some photos and promote the box. I submitted my name and was chosen! It has been an incredible journey to watch Tamara’s business grow, and I am looking forward to watching it continue to thrive. Already her April and special edition boxes have been selling out.

I hope this review was helpful for you! Follow Booked for the Weekend’s Instagram page for the latest news and updates! And don’t forget, you can use my code – AMY10 – for 10% off your order. 🙂

xx,

Amy

  1. The first box is definitely impressive, and I have the quality doesn’t drop with upcoming boxes 🙂 Thanks for sharing your unboxing, and congratulations on being chosen as a rep.I love the Star Wars stuff and the double-sided bookmark looks beautiful (featuring the Rhysand quote, one of the first, if not the very first, quote I noted when I read the ACOTAR series).
I got a free copy of Your One & Only and really enjoyed reading it – it’s a very quick scifi/romance read. I appreciate that it’s not part of a series, but it definitely has room for more. (you can check out my review on my blog, if you’re interested)

  2. I’m very impressed with the efforts by the owner to include a hardback in their first box. This looks like a box you’re def getting the most bang for your buck, that sleeve is so pretty! I love Navy! *heart eyes* and I’ve heard pretty good things about the book. I hope you enjoy all of your new bookish items Amy! 🙂
