Top Ten Tuesday – Books I’d Slay a Lion to Get Early

toptentuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. There is a new topic each Tuesday, so check out her blog for more info!

There are so many awesome books coming out in 2018 and 2019. Here are the books I am very impatiently waiting for!

The Wicked King (The Folk of the Air, #2) by Holly Black

Let’s get this bad boy out of the way first. I’m pretty sure that the entire planet is anticipating this release! I LOVED The Cruel Prince with all my heart and cannot wait to dive back into the world of Faerie. (Read my review for The Cruel Prince.) Release date: January 8, 2019.

Vengeful (Villains, #2) by V.E. Schwab

It’s been so long since I read Vicious but I still love it so much. I’m so excited to follow my bae Victor Vale ❤ If you click on my link above it’ll take you to Barnes & Noble where you can preorder an exclusive, signed edition! Release date: September 25, 2018.

City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab

Another Schwab book! But this time penned under her real name since it’s young adult/middle grade. I am all about anything spooky so I cannot wait for this one! Release date: August 28, 2018.

Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan

When I made this list I had not yet received this gorgeous ARC. I was totally not expecting to receive a copy! I cannot wait to dive into this gorgeous book. This own-voices fantasy already speaks to my soul. It sounds like Natasha Ngan had a similar upbringing as me (she grew up in Malaysia, I grew up in Thailand). Thank you so much to Jimmy Patterson Books/Hachette for sending me a copy! Release date: November 6, 2018.

Kingdom of Ash (Throne of Glass, #7) by Sarah J. Maas

I can’t believe this series is almost over. I fell in love with the Throne of Glass series at a time when I was trying to get back into reading more. I will forever cherish this series and am slightly nervous how it’s all going to end! Release date: October 23, 2018.

Muse of Nightmares (Strange the Dreamer, #2) by Laini Taylor

I preordered Muse of Nightmares right after I finished reading Strange the Dreamer. It was so beautiful and I cannot wait to get back into that world. (Read my review for Strange the Dreamer.) Release date: October 2, 2018.

Two Dark Reigns (Three Dark Crowns, #3) by Kendare Blake

I’ll admit that I wasn’t a huge fan of Three Dark Crowns, but I really enjoyed One Dark Throne so I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. Release date September 4, 2018.

Untitled Children of Blood and Bone #2 (Legacy of Orisha, #2) by Tomi Adeyemi

I have no idea when this will release, but after that cliffhanger in Children of Blood and Bone!? Ahhhhh I need this ASAP! (Read my review for Children of Blood and Bone.)

The Toll (Arc of the Scythe, #3) by Neal Shusterman

I haven’t heard any news yet regarding the cover or release date for The Toll. Thunderhead left me with so many more questions than answers. (Read my review for Scythe.)

My Plain Jane by Cynthia Hand, Jodi Meadows, and Brodi Ashton

I just recently got approved for a digital ARC by Edelweiss for My Plain Jane! Guys, I screamed. I will be starting this very soon! I absolutely adored My Lady Jane. My Plain Jane will be a satirical retelling of Jane Eyre, whereas My Lady Jane was a satirical retelling of the Nine Days Queen Lady Jane Grey (with some magical elements!) I cannot praise that book enough! Release date June 26, 2018.

There are so many other amazing books coming out soon, but these were the first ones to pop into my head! What are you excited for?

xx,

Amy

  1. I cannot wait for Vengeful and Muse of Nightmares! And while I’m excited for Kingdom of Ash and ready for the series to end I’m also scared of Maeve and all the evil she’s gonna unleash on Aelin/Rowan!!

  2. You were completely right when you said our lists were very similar 😆
I haven’t read Children of Blood and Bone yet, but if I had I would probably have added the next book on my TTT this week too! I’m really excited for that book!

  3. I am so excited for Kingdom of Ash but also SO SCARED about what SJM is going to do to all the characters. ToG is my all-time fav series and I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself once it’s over. Also very excited for Muse of Nightmares and The Wicked King!!!
