Top Ten Tuesday: My Favorite Adult Mysteries/Thrillers

toptentuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

This week’s prompt is supposed to be favorite novellas/short stories, but since I don’t read many of those, I decided to change the topic. I know I mainly review YA on this blog, but I am actually a huge lover of adult mysteries and thrillers. So, I wanted to share with you some of my faves!

  1. The Broken Girls by Simone St. James [Review]
  2. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
  3. The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter
  4. You by Caroline Kepnes
  5. Career of Evil (Cormoran Strike series, #3) by Robert Galbraith (J.K. Rowling)
  6. Triptych (Will Trent series, #1) by Karin Slaughter
  7. Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz
  8. The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson
  9. Still Missing by Chevy Stevens [Hint: Amazing on audio!]
  10. Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty

I’d love to hear more recommendations for adult mysteries and thrillers! Please let me know in the comments! ❤

xx,

Amy

    • The Good Daughter is super intense and graphic (I can send you trigger warnings if you want!) but I just enjoy Karin’s writing so much! There’s actually a prequel novella that I read before The Good Daughter (the name escapes me but I don’t think it’s 100% necessary to read). Let me know if you ever read it, love! 💜

  1. I also read a lot of YA but I had to read Gone Girl after the hype. Then I somehow ended up reading The Kind Worth Killing. AND IT WAS SO GOOD! Like my mouth was hanging open in surprise 98% of the time. I’m glad you liked it, too. 🙂
