Down the TBR Hole #4

Web

Down the TBR Hole was created by Lost in a Story. Its purpose is to help narrow down your TBR list on Goodreads by selecting 5 titles each week and deciding if you want to keep it on your TBR or get rid of it! I was inspired by Melanie @ Meltotheany to start this blog series as my TBR pile is OUT OF CONTROL!

How it works:

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

This Week’s 5 Books:

1) FEED BY MIRA GRANT

I was ready to remove this from my TBR but after looking through the reviews I noticed so many people I love gave this book such a high rating! The whole outbreak/zombie element still intrigues me, so I think I’ll keep it on the back burner for now!

Verdict: KEEP

2) DANGEROUS BOYS BY ABIGAIL HAAS

I don’t see myself wanting to pick this up within the next year. Lately I have not been too impressed with YA thrillers/romance.

Verdict: DELETE

3) MR. MERCEDES BY STEPHEN KING

I’m still going through a Stephen King phase, and despite the mixed reviews, I want to give it a chance.

Verdict: KEEP

4) THE EMPEROR OF ALL MALADIES BY SIDDARTHA MUKHERJEE

This is “a biography of cancer” which explores the origins, treatments, and devastation of cancer. I saw the PBS special and was fascinated. I just love medical stuff!

Verdict: KEEP

5) GRAFFITI MOON BY CATH CROWLEY

I must’ve blacked out when I added this to my TBR in 2014 because I don’t remember doing it at all! LMAO. I’m not really into YA contemporary romance so I’m going to let this one go.

Verdict: DELETE

Thanks for taking a look at my TBR! Please feel free to recommend what books I should add (or remove) from my TBR! You can go here to view my to-read shelf, or here to add me as a friend on Goodreads! 🙂

xx,

Amy

  1. I also recently removed Dangerous Boys from my TBR. I really liked the Abigail Haas’s Dangerous Girls but I have no interest in YA mystery thrillers as of late. Must be the summery vibes! 😀
