Down the TBR Hole was created by Lost in a Story. Its purpose is to help narrow down your TBR list on Goodreads by selecting 5 or more titles each week and deciding if you want to keep it on your TBR or get rid of it! I was inspired by Melanie @ Meltotheany to start this blog series as my TBR pile is OUT OF CONTROL!
How it works:
- Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
On the chopping block this week:
A Murder Most Unladylike Mysteries #1-3 by Robin Stevens:
Apparently I decided to put the first 3 books in this series on my TBR! They sound quite cute and cozy, but they are middle grade which I’m not sure how much I’ll enjoy overall? For now I’m going to pass.
VERDICT: DELETE
Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson:
This has been on my TBR for ages. I went through a humorous-memoir phase, but I haven’t been reaching for them lately.
VERDICT: DELETE
The Mystery of the Clockwork Sparrow by Katherine Woodfine:
A mystery set in a London department store? Yasss.
VERDICT: KEEP
Stars Above by Marissa Meyer:
This is a collection of novellas from The Lunar Chronicles. I really love that squad with all my heart so this is for sure staying.
VERDICT: KEEP
Thanks for taking a look at my TBR! Please feel free to recommend what books I should add (or remove) from my TBR! You can go here to view my to-read shelf, or here to add me as a friend on Goodreads! 🙂
xx,
Amy
Great post, I’m so glad you decided to keep Stars Above as it such a good collection especially the last short story in it 🙂

Ohh, what an interesting concept! I often scroll through my Goodreads TBR to delete books, but it never seems to work out because “what if I’m in the mood to read something with this specific synopsis?” And then I never read it … haha.

Totally get it, humorous memoirs are something I totally have to be in the mood for! I went through a phase too––Tina Fey’s novel, Mindy Kaling’s, Amy Poehler’s––and then got tired of the genre and haven’t picked anything from it up since. Enjoy your ventures through your TBR!
