Down the TBR Hole was created by Lost in a Story. Its purpose is to help narrow down your TBR list on Goodreads by selecting 5 or more titles each week and deciding if you want to keep it on your TBR or get rid of it! I was inspired by Melanie @ Meltotheany to start this blog series as my TBR pile is OUT OF CONTROL!
How it works:
- Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
On the chopping block this week:
The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh:
I can’t believe I still haven’t read this book! I’ve heard mixed reviews but I still want to give it a shot.
Truthwitch by Susan Dennard:
I’m not really sure about this one, guys. I picked it up due to hype… but I think I may let this one go for now.
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard:
I think it’s also time for me to let this one go as well. I just really don’t see myself picking this up any time soon.
Lorali by Laura Dockrill:
I find the premise really fascinating but the reviews don’t look too fantastic. I think I’ll have to delete this one too.
The Dead Girls of Hysteria Hall by Katie Alender:
Usually I love anything set in a creepy building/asylum/school, but I am so over YA horror lately. I think I need to stick with adult horror for a while.
The Trouble with Goats and Sheep by Joanna Cannon:
Despite this being a mystery with amateur detectives the description just isn’t gripping me anymore. Sorry! 😦
Thanks for taking a look at my TBR! Please feel free to recommend what books I should add (or remove) from my TBR! You can go here to view my to-read shelf, or here to add me as a friend on Goodreads! 🙂
