July 2018 Wrap Up

I slowed down my reading a little bit this month since I hit a massive reading slump after finishing The Wicked King and I was traveling. But I am still so proud of myself for finishing five books this month! I’m still working on some of the reviews but, for now, here is my wrap up!

May 2018 Wrap Up

I had a very productive reading month! I’m actually a bit shocked I read 12 books. I usually average around 6 books per month. I think a lot had to do with 1) needing to review ARCs in time and, 2) participating in buddy reads. Buddy reading always gets me to read a certain amount each day, which really helps keep me motivated!

So here they are: the physical and digital books I read in May. If you’re curious how well I stuck to my May TBR, you can check out that page here. I think I did a pretty good job! 🙂 My reviews are linked below.

8F0A2739

Mirage by Somaiya Daud [ARC provided by Flatiron Books. Buddy read with Melanie, Lilly, Jules, Chelsea, and Julie!]

Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Cordova

Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian [Buddy read with Jen, Chelsea, Clarisa, Stacia, and Heather]

A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black [Re-read on audio]

Caraval by Stephanie Garber

City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab [Physical ARC borrowed from Mary at Fox & Wit ]

Bruja Born by Zoraida Cordova [Buddy read with Alexis, Lori, and Melanie!]

I have another ambitious TBR for June, so I’m crossing my fingers I’m able to read everything on my list! Did you read anything good in May? 🙂

April 2018 Wrap Up

April was a VERY busy reading month for me. I did a lot of buddy reads which are always so much fun! In total I read 11 books. It was a good mix of ARCs and books that I purchased. You’ll notice Circe is on my list twice. I alternated between reading the hardback and the digital ARC, but I only count it once toward my wrap up. My reviews for each book are linked below! (If they’re not linked then it means I haven’t finished writing the reviews yet. They’ll be posted eventually.)

February Wrap Up – 2018

IMG_8522

I read some great books this month! So far it looks like I am averaging 6 books per month, which is a nice pace for me. My goal for 2018 is to read 50 books. Last year I read 75, and I didn’t want to stress myself out trying to reach a high goal this year. I am currently 4 books ahead of schedule. You may view my 2018 books read so far on Goodreads.

This was also my first time doing a buddy-read with a lovely group of ladies from Bookstagram. We read Scythe (and some of us moved on to Thunderhead), and it was so much fun. For March some of us will be reading Children of Blood and Bone together. Yay!

Here’s the wrap up for February 2018 (my reviews are linked below):

  1. The Final Empire (Book 1 in the Mistborn Trilogy) by Brandon Sanderson: 5 stars
  2. Silent Victim by Caroline Mitchell: 3 stars
  3. The Broken Girls by Simone St. James: 4 stars
  4. The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton: 3 stars
  5. Scythe (Book 1 in the Arc of a Scythe series) by Neal Shusterman: 4.5 stars
  6. Thunderhead (Book 2 in the Arc of a Scythe series) by Neal Shusterman: 4.5 stars

Needless to say, I am a bit behind on my reviews! Between having a death in the family and working on my health recovery, it’s been a hard month to stay on track. My goal for March will be to finish a few ARCs I received from NetGalley, and to post all my reviews here and on Goodreads and Amazon.

I hope you all had a great reading month, too!

Cheers,

Amy
