Why we chose this book:
“A sharp and funny urban fantasy for “new adults” about a secret society of bartenders who fight monsters with alcohol fueled magic.” <– I mean, that line sold me already. This is a new adult, urban fantasy that we hope will be a fun, yet dark, read! Also, author Paul Krueger is Asian-American, and the main character, Bailey Chen, is Asian-American, too! So this is an own-voices story we’re very excited about. 🙂
